Vice President Joe Biden at first forgot to mention cheerleaders at a recent
visit to Newport High School in Newport, N.H, though some were quick to
remind him. “Biden left the cheerleaders off the list but was quickly
reminded by the group of girls.”
Responded Biden, “They are amazing. You think I’m joking. You think I’m
joking. They’re almost all gymnasts. The stuff they do on hardwood, it
absolutely blows my mind, thinking, you know, they’re up there without a
net. You know?”
He went on, “It’s so great to see you guys. I thought I’d get to play a
little bit but I guess not,” holding a football.
However, after spotting a nearby member of the football team, the Vice
President did get to play at least one down before wrapping up his brief
stop.
“Looks like an end over there,” said Biden, before making a quick pass his
way.
