While most of the national conversation about race has avoided much mention of Mitt Romney, Geraldo Rivera called out the Republican presidential nominee on Thursday with a rather striking accusation. Rivera had fellow Fox-ite Eric Bolling on his WABC show Thursday, and in the midst of a conversation about the Latino vote and whether or not it would go solidly for President Obama, Rivera remarked that Romney is the kind of person who wouldn’t let Latinos in his apartment.

Bolling brought up numbers showing unemployment in the Latino population is at roughly 11 percent, and asked Rivera why a majority of them would want to vote to give Obama a second term. Rivera answered by explaining why he thinks Romney would be the unlikelier choice.

“You vote for the other guy, and the other guy wouldn’t even let you in his apartment. I believe that immigration has been so hyped by the media and cable news that now people would rather live next door to a child molester than an illegal alien.”
