Poll roundup: Romney seen as less specific, Obama approval drops on handling of BenghaziMore voting “for” President Obama than “for” Mitt Romney [Politico-GWU, 10/15]: Among likely voters who say they’re voting for Obama, 73 percent say it is indeed for Obama, rather than against Romney. For voters throwing in with Romney, 59 percent say the vote is for him, rather than against Obama.

Voters say Romney has been less specific than Obama [WaPo-ABC News, 10/15]: Sixty-three percent of registered voters say Romney hasn’t been specific enough in policy proposals. For Obama, 53 percent say he hasn’t been specific enough.

Approval for Obama on handling U.S. embassy attack has dropped [Rasmussen, 10/15]: “35% of Likely U.S. Voters now rate the way the administration has responded to the situation in Libya as good or excellent. That’s down nine points from 44% in mid-September just after the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens.”

Romney takes small lead in North Carolina [PPP, 10/14]: Obama sits just behind Romney in North Carolina, 49-47 percent.

More say global warming is man made [Pew, 10/15]: “42% say the warming is mostly caused by human activity, such as burning fossil fuels, while 19% say it is mostly caused by natural patterns in the earth’s environment. Last year, 38% mostly attributed global warming to human activity and in 2010 34% did so.”
