Very sad news for singer Usher and his family: His stepson, 11-year-old Kyle Glover, has been declared brain dead following hospitalization for a jet ski accident on Georgia’s Lake Lanier Friday.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation, but early reports indicate Glover was knocked unconscious after having been struck in the head. According to the NY Daily News, Glover and a 15-year-old friend were both airlifted to Atlanta’s Children’s Healthcare at Egelston Hospital following the accident.
Despite the fact that Usher and Glover’s mother are currently undergoing a contentious divorce, the singer hired a private jet to bring Tameka Foster to her child.
News of Glover’s injuries prompted several media players to voice their support on Twitter:
